Manutti was started by founder and CEO Stephane De Winter, from small beginnings in his parents' garage. His background in textiles, through his father's flax business, shaped the brand's feel for materials.

The company says it combines modern technology with traditional craft, and hand-finishes the separate materials in each piece. It works with in-house and outside designers, craftspeople and suppliers to make tables, chairs, loungers and sofas.
