Lapso Acoustic Cabin by Sancal
The Lapso Acoustic Cabin by Sancal is a wall-mounted acoustic hood and vertical hammock, designed by Antoine Lesur and Marc Venot in 2020.

Lean back into the mesh and let the upholstered hood wrap around you. Its curved panels reflect your voice back to you, so you naturally speak more softly on calls, while the padded acoustic fabric dampens the reverberation of the whole room.

Lapso is designed by Antoine Lesur and Marc Venot for Sancal (2020). The concept won an Hermès award for Best Author Design in 2014.
Its curved, upholstered hood reflects your voice back to you, so people naturally speak more quietly on calls, while the padded acoustic fabric absorbs reverberation in the room.
The hood comes in Cura, Sprinkles or Razzle Dazzle acoustic fabrics, each at its own price, and the mesh in black, grey, red, yellow or blue. The metal frame is lacquered to match the mesh. It is not available in leather.
Lapso mounts on the wall with the metal fittings supplied. Sancal recommends fixing it about 20 cm above the average user's height. It is made to order in Spain.
