Sen Pendant Lamp by Motarasu
The Sen Pendant Lamp by Motarasu is a handcrafted bamboo pendant lamp made from roughly 600 bent bamboo strips. Designed by Toshiyuki Tani.
Available in Dubai through WSPR.
Lines and Shadow
Sen means lines in Japanese. The bamboo strips are bent into shape and make lines as well as shadow. The method is takesensuji, the traditional technique used for insect cages and paper lanterns, here with a modern look.
Each lamp is handcrafted with bamboo masters from roughly 600 strips. Motarasu is a Danish design house that brings Danish and Japanese designers together under one brand, with a shared taste for minimal form and careful craft.
