The Brink Chair Cantilever Base by Muuto is a dining chair with a form-pressed veneer shell on a chrome or powder-coated cantilever base. Designed by Thomas Bentzen.

Controlled Flex

Brink pairs a slim silhouette with surprising strength, developed through years of veneer refinement. The shell is form-pressed veneer made with FSC-certified wood, with a distinctive bend that reinforces the structure and softened edges that support the body.

On the cantilever base, the chair introduces controlled flex in both frame and shell, adding comfort through natural movement.

Materials & Care

The shell is form-pressed veneer with a beech veneer core and an oak surface veneer from FSC-certified (FSC-C028824) wood, finished with water-based lacquer. Upholstery pads for the seat and front are removable. The chair can be disassembled into shell, base, pad and glides for repair and renewal.

Clean the shell and base with a damp cloth and, if needed, mild dish soap, then dry. Textile upholstery should be dabbed with warm water, and leather needs regular care suited to the leather type.

The cantilever base is bent steel tube, with a minimum of 25% post-industrial recycled steel. Glides can be flipped between felt and plastic.
