Wood, Folded Around the Legs

The backrest wraps around the back legs and ties the design together. It is a quiet exploration of what veneer can do, in the spirit of Scandinavian design.

The stool is lightweight, with a tall, enveloping back. Muuto describes it as comfortable for hours, whether at dinner, over a drink or at a counter desk.

Materials & Care

The stool is made from form-pressed wood. The wood is folded over the legs and backrest, which helps lock the parts together. The frame is solid oak, with FSC-certified wood and a water-based lacquer. The footrest protector is tumbled stainless steel and the glides are plastic. Oak veneer and Stained Dark Brown can show slight colour variations.

Wood: clean with a moist cloth, then wipe off excess liquid with a dry cloth. Upholstery: dab non-greasy textile stains with a lint-free cloth wrung out in clean, warm water, with soapy water if needed. Muuto points to kvadrat.dk for textile advice. Imitation leather: lukewarm pH-neutral soapy water, no solvents. Leather: wipe with a dry cloth regularly and treat it at least four times a year.
