Nido Chair by Sancal
The Nido Chair by Sancal is an upholstered chair with a nest-like seat, designed by Rafa García in 2014.
Available in Dubai through WSPR.
A Nest for Each Little Bird
Nido is Spanish for nest. Rafa García set a soft, cosy seat into a frame whose upper part branches out to hold it, with the back and sides tailored to show off the chair's lines.
Bases and Finishes
Bases: ash wooden legs, basic wooden legs, a lacquered sled base, a wheeled swivel base or a four-star base
Upholstery: tightly tailored or quilted
Seams: black piping, so the seat and the back can take two different fabrics

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Nido is designed by Rafa García for Sancal (2014). Nido is Spanish for nest: the soft seat sits in a hand-crafted frame like a nest in the branches.
Yes. A black piping or zip separates the seat from the back and sides, so each part can be upholstered in a different fabric.
The quilted chair has a stitched, padded seat and back for a softer look. The standard version is tightly tailored.
