A folded piece of paper

The idea for Fold Lounge Chair arose when a simple piece of paper was cut and folded into a chair. Designer Ole Petter Wullum wanted something complex to look very simple, and the shape explains itself at a glance.

The design has a seamlessly integrated back and armrest that reclines slightly with the movement of the body. It is roomy and comfortable, made with a wooden reinforcement structure assembled with metal fittings, which allow the armrests to be adjustable.

Materials & Care

A plywood and metal frame, covered with moulded foam and clad in textile or leather upholstery. Textile: clean with a textile or upholstery cleaner. Leather: clean with a damp cloth and warm water with soap flakes. Frequent vacuuming with a soft fitting helps preserve colour and appearance.
