The Hyg Lounge Chair High by Normann Copenhagen is a high-backed lounge chair with soft lines and an enveloping shape, on oak legs. Designed by Simon Legald.

Soft, Enveloping Form

Hyg is made for hygge, a design that nourishes both the eye and the soul. Soft lines and encircling contours create a cosy, pleasant space. The ample silhouette is offset by a narrow contour that refines the expression.

The shell is hard moulded PU foam with a steel reinforcement and a moulded lumbar support, with a soft moulded PU foam cushion. High sides lightly shield off the room, while a wide seat allows a range of relaxed postures. The enveloping shape adds a sense of security and privacy, and suits public spaces.

Materials & Care

Shell in hard moulded PU foam with a steel reinforcement, with a soft moulded PU foam cushion, upholstered. Legs in oak, painted and lacquered in the Black Oak version. Clean fabric with a textile or upholstery cleaner, and leather with a damp cloth and warm water with soap flakes. Vacuum often with a soft fitting to preserve colour and appearance. Sharp objects can leave marks.
