Ozz Floor Lamp by Miniforms

The Ozz Floor Lamp by Miniforms is an arched floor lamp made of light and stone. A black metal shaft rises from a concrete counterweight and bends in a dramatic curve until the shade hangs over the room. It was designed by Paolo Cappello.

Available in Dubai through WSPR.

Illuminating a Story

Ozz is made of light and stone. It shifts from shy domesticity to become central to the home, proving itself a key figure with its large, look-at-me arc.

The design starts in the concrete and ends in the lampshade. Between the two, the shaft curves in a dramatic trajectory until the point where the light bites the bait.

Designed for the Centre of the Room

Ozz is made to give a living space a focal point, with light placed exactly where it is needed. The arch lets the lamp keep its base to one side while the shade reaches into the room.

Key features include:

• Large arched floor lamp in black metal

• Concrete counterweight as the base

• Adjustable arch and shade

• E27 light source, maximum 10 W, bulb not included

• Assembly instructions available from Miniforms

• Designed by Paolo Cappello

The arc lets the lamp stand to one side of a seating area while the light reaches the centre. Because the arch and the shade can both be adjusted, the light can be set once the lamp is in place and moved again when the room changes.

Materials & Craftsmanship

The structure is black lacquered metal, balanced by a counterweight in concrete. The contrast between the two materials gives Ozz its character.

Available features include:

• Black lacquered metal structure, RAL 9005

• Concrete counterweight

• Adjustable arch and shade

• Supplied in two packages

• Made in Italy

Concrete is a natural, mineral material, so each counterweight has its own quiet character. Against the thin black shaft, its heavy, plain volume keeps the tall lamp steady and gives the design its two-part personality.

Ideal For

• Living rooms, arching over a sofa or armchair

• Reading corners

• Lounges and hotel lobbies

• Studios and showrooms

• Dining areas with a low table

Wherever a room needs a light with presence, Ozz provides it with a single, graceful line, and the arch stays calm even at this scale.
