Shiko Wien Bed by Miniforms

The Shiko Wien Bed by Miniforms is a contemporary upholstered bed that combines Japanese-inspired simplicity with the warmth of natural materials. Designed by E-ggs, Shiko Wien reinterprets the iconic Shiko collection with a lighter, more open aesthetic, replacing the fully upholstered headboard with an elegant combination of solid ash wood and handwoven Vienna straw. Inspired by the ritual movements of sumo wrestlers, the bed conveys a reassuring sense of stability while introducing lightness, texture, and refined Italian craftsmanship to contemporary bedrooms.

Available in Dubai through WSPR.

A Light Interpretation of the Shiko Collection

Named after the traditional Shiko ritual performed by sumo wrestlers to drive away negative energy, the Shiko Wien Bed is designed to evoke a feeling of strength, balance, and protection. While preserving the solid architectural structure of the original Shiko bed, this version introduces a gently curved headboard crafted from solid ash and woven Vienna straw, creating a lighter visual presence inspired by traditional Japanese tatami aesthetics.

The woven headboard filters light through its natural texture, creating subtle shadows that add warmth and depth to the bedroom. This harmonious combination of wood and Vienna straw gives Shiko Wien a timeless character that feels both contemporary and authentic.
