Soda SQ Coffee Table by Miniforms

The Soda SQ Coffee Table by Miniforms is a square coffee table made from a single volume of blown glass, turned upside down. Designed by Yiannis Ghikas, it stands on four stems and has four curved corners that define the top.

Available in Dubai through WSPR.

Squared by a Whisker

The principle remains the same as Soda: a single volume, upside down, in beautifully blown glass. But this time there are four stems, and four curved corners to delineate the new top.

It is still Soda, but it wants to get up close and personal. You can extend it by matching pieces together, or create sophisticated compositions by mixing the different shapes.

Designed for Compositions

Soda SQ works on its own as a coffee table, and it is made to sit with its relatives. Place several together to build a larger surface or a group of different shapes.

Key features include:

• Single volume of blown glass, turned upside down

• Four stems and four curved corners

• Can be combined with matching pieces to extend the surface

• Can be mixed with other Soda shapes

• Available in Amber, Blue and Petrol Green

• For indoor and outdoor use

Colour and transparency do most of the work here. The table is a single, simple form, so it sits easily in calm rooms as well as brighter ones, alone or as part of a composition of several pieces.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Soda SQ is made of blown glass, a material that lets light pass through the piece and gives each colour depth.

Available features include:

• Blown glass in Amber

• Blown glass in Blue

• Blown glass in Petrol Green

• Square form with curved corners

Each finish gives the table a different presence, from warm amber to deep petrol green.

Ideal For

• Living rooms and lounges

• Terraces and outdoor seating areas

• Hotel lobbies and lounges

• Compositions of several tables in one space

Use one as a quiet centrepiece, or combine several to shape a seating area. The square top and rounded corners make it easy to place beside other Soda shapes.
