Tortuga Lounge Chair by Sancal
The Tortuga Lounge Chair by Sancal takes its cue from a tortoise shell: somewhere to withdraw into with a good book, or to drift off. Designed by Isaac Piñeiro in 2016.

A Shell to Sink Into
A deep, rounded shell holds a quilted inner seat and back in soft memory foam. The shape stays simple, so the fabric can be as quiet or as loud as you like, including a two-tone combination of inside and outside.
Two Sizes
Mini Lounge Chair: a compact version for tighter rooms, cafés and hotel rooms, on a fixed base
Lounge Chair: the original, on a self-centring swivel base
The central foot combines black lacquered metal with stained ash. For the full-height version with a headrest, see the Tortuga Armchair.

The Mini is a compact lounge chair on a fixed base. The Lounge Chair is the original size on a self-centring swivel base. The Armchair with Headrest is the full-height version with a separate headrest cushion, also on a swivel base.
Sancal groups its fabrics and leathers into price series. The price shown is for Sancal's entry fabric series. Your chosen fabric or leather sets the final price, which we confirm in your quote.
Yes. Tortuga can combine two upholstery materials. When the two fall in different Sancal price series, the higher series applies.
The quilted inner seat and back covers zip off. The outer shell upholstery is fixed.
